Off festival Nora and Barumini Program

Alongside the main Dancing Histor(y)ies performances at the Archaeological Site of Nora, the OFF Festival offers a series of encounters, talks, and participatory activities that extend the spirit of the project beyond the stage. This parallel programme connects artists, scientists, local associations, and citizens, creating a space where art, environment, and community engagement meet.

From 3 to 9 August 2025, visitors and locals are invited to take part in open events, discussions, and informal performances that bridge ancient and contemporary knowledge — from marine ecology and cultural heritage to dance and storytelling:

3 August – Archaeological Site of Nora (19:30–20:30)

With 420People and geoscientist Daniela Pani, the dialogue begins between the movement of bodies and the memory of landscapes, reflecting on the geological and human histories that shape the Mediterranean.

6 August – Archaeological Site of Nora (19:30–20:30)

An evening with Elisa Mocci from the Sardinian Department of the Environment and Federico Rais from the Isula Fishing Club, exploring the connections between marine ecosystems, sustainability, and artistic creation.

8 August – Archaeological Site of Nora (19:30–20:30)

A participatory event with ilDance, the Nora Folk Group, and local citizens — a celebration of community and cultural continuity where ancient rhythms meet contemporary movement.

9 August – Streets of Pula (20:00)

Dance leaves the archaeological site and moves through the town’s streets with ilDance, inviting residents and visitors alike to join in a collective gesture of memory, belonging, and celebration.

Through these encounters, the OFF Festival becomes a bridge between disciplines and generations, highlighting how the living heritage of Sardinia — its people, environment, and traditions — continues to inspire creativity and collaboration across Europe.
